What's in your pocket stays in your pocket.
The short version: Your orders are read and kept only in your own browser. We never receive them, and Pocketomi has no accounts. We never sell or share anything, and we don't use analytics, trackers or ads.
What Pocketomi reads
Only after you tap Connect and then Allow & Sync for an app, Pocketomi reads that app's order history while you're signed in to it: order date and time, items, amounts, payment method, status, and refunds. It's read-only: it never places, changes or cancels orders, and it never sees your password or OTP. It never signs in for you and stops if a site asks you to sign in or solve a captcha.
Some apps' websites (for example Blinkit) send a session value from their own page with every order request. For those apps, while a sync runs, Pocketomi reads that value from your open tab of the app and sends it only back to that same app, exactly as the app's own website does. It's held in memory for that sync only: never saved, logged or sent anywhere else.
Where it's kept
In your browser's own storage (IndexedDB), on this device only. Pocketomi works out your totals, categories and charts on your device. The extension never sends your orders, or anything else about you, to Pocketomi or to anyone else. There is no sign-in and no Pocketomi account.
Permissions
- Storage (unlimitedStorage): to keep your order history on your device.
- Scripting: to read the order pages of an app only after you connect it.
- Access to each app's website: asked for one app at a time, only when you connect it. You can remove it any time in Chrome's extension settings, and Pocketomi stops reading that app.
Pocketomi asks for no other permissions: no browsing history, no other websites, no location, no contacts.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Pocketomi's use of information received from the websites you connect adheres to theChrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data is used only to show you your own spending, is not transferred to anyone, is not used for advertising, and is not used to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
This website
If you open your pocket on this website (pocketomi.com/app) with the extension installed, the page asks the extension for your orders and draws your pocket right in your browser, with no sign-in. That data goes from the extension to this page in your own browser; it isn't sent to our servers. Only this website can ask, and you can switch it off any time in the extension's Settings ("Show my pocket on the Pocketomi website").
This website uses no analytics, trackers or cookies, and loads nothing from other companies: the fonts are hosted here. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it; it never leaves your browser.
Feedback you send
The feedback form (on this website and in the extension) only prepares an email; nothing is sent until you send it from your own email app. We receive only what's in that email, including your email address, and use it only to reply and to decide what to build next. It never includes your orders or amounts. Ask us any time to delete your emails.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Disconnect an app (in Connections) to remove its access and delete its orders from your browser.
- "Disconnect all and delete" in Settings removes every app and every saved order at once.
- Export your orders as CSV or JSON from Settings whenever you like.
- Remove an app's access in Chrome's extension settings, and Pocketomi stops reading it.
- Uninstalling Pocketomi deletes everything it stored on your device.
We hold none of your orders, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side.
Your rights (India's DPDP Act, 2023)
Pocketomi is built around the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your orders live on your own device, so you hold and control them directly:
- Know and access: every order is visible in the extension, and you can export all of it as CSV or JSON.
- Correct: your orders come straight from the apps; run a sync to refresh them.
- Erase: delete one app's orders, or everything, from the extension, any time.
- Withdraw consent: disconnect an app, or remove its access in Chrome.
- Raise a grievance: write to us at the address under Contact. We read every request and reply to you there.
- Nominate someone: you may name another person to exercise these rights for you if you cannot; tell us by email.
We ask for your consent before reading anything (per app, in plain words, with a clear Cancel), we use your data only to show it back to you, and we ask for only what the feature needs. We hold nothing about you to access, correct or erase.
How long we keep data
- On your device: until you disconnect the app, delete everything in Settings, or uninstall Pocketomi.
- On our side: your orders are never received, so nothing is kept.
- Emails you send us: until you ask us to delete them.
Security
- Your orders stay in your browser's own protected storage and are never transmitted by Pocketomi.
- We never receive your passwords, OTPs, cookies or session values from the shopping apps.
- The extension asks Chrome for the smallest set of permissions, one app at a time, and runs no code fetched from the internet.
- Our website is served over HTTPS.
Children
Pocketomi isn't meant for children under 18 and isn't directed at them. We don't knowingly keep data about anyone under 18; if you think we do, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. Big changes will also be shown in the extension.
